You might not see number 4 or 9 at some places in Japan. All Japan based airlines skip seat number 4 why? the pronunciation of 4 in Japanese is SHI means death! You never see room number 4 in hospitals either. Also number 9 is not people’s favorite. The pronunciation of 9 is KU means suffer. Number 13 was no means for Japanese people until the movie Friday the 13th came out. Like American Japanese are not a big fan of number 13 either. Interesting isn’t it?

Kimigayo National Anthem of Japan
Kimigayo is the National Anthem of Japan. The Lyrics are taken from Kokin Waka Shu poem written in the Heian period about 8th century. The melody was chosen in 1880. Japan had no national anthem then Britain’s military band master John William Fenton suggested make one for a modern new era after Edo Shogunate period ended. There are a lot of souvenir shops, grocery stores, novelty stores, even fish market along side of 400m long narrow street. Products are selling very reasonable prices. The visitors are not only local but also many tourists from all over Japan or outside of Japan. The busiest days are before New Year’s Day Holiday. People come to this town to shop for food and gifts just like Western people prepare for Christmas. 
Shinjuku Town has multiple faces
Shinjuku is a major commercial and administrative center in Tokyo Metropolitan area also geographically located in central Tokyo. Residents and visitors are going and coming through Shinjuku Station world’s busiest station nearly 4 million passengers a day. Shinjuku has many faces Major department stores, a lot of retailers consist one of the biggest commercial places and Tokyo Metropolitan Government is in Shunjuku as well. There is also a large park name Shinjuku Gyoen Garden. It was originally a residence of Naito Daimyo family in Edo period. Now it became a public garden you could call it miniature central park in Tokyo.
